Serena Domestic Shorthair Young Female in Merrifield, Virginia

My story
Serena is a sweet young girl, who was trapped in a very busy area of Fairfax with her kittens. She could not be released back at that site so she was brought inside to be socialized. She had no idea what being inside a house with humans was like and it took months of training. Serena now completely trusts her foster mom and LOVES being a housecat. She snuggles on the bed at night and will get on the back of the couch to curl up next to her foster mom’s neck for movie time. She purrs softly, gives headbutts, and arches up for kisses on her head. She has a variety of toys she likes to play with by herself, batting them around the house. She loves to be pet, but does NOT like to be picked up. Serena lives with other cats but her interactions are somewhat awkward. She wants to play with them but it’s like she’s playing rugby by her own rules while everyone else is playing mini-golf. So she would need understanding, easy-going cats in her new home, or she could be an only cat. Going to a new home will take an adjustment period, so patient adopters are a must. She loves to eat, so food and treats are the way to win her over. Serena was born approximately August 2019. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.Please e-mail us if you're interested in Serena. Be sure to include your phone number in your message.
